Be part of Ride for the Living 2026, an event that turns memory into motion and brings us together in support of Jewish life. With every mile, we honor history, affirm Jewish resilience and make a visible statement of belonging and pride.
Federation’s Ride for the Living supports the original Ride for the Living in Europe—a powerful journey from Auschwitz to the JCC in Krakow that bears witness to what was lost and affirms what endures. Our Detroit-area satellite ride carries that same spirit close to home, strengthening our connection to Jewish life in Poland today and to one another here.
Riders of all ages and experience levels are welcome, with three pace groups:
Slow Rollers: 10–12 mph; Cruisers: 13–15 mph; and Chasers: 16–19 mph.
Non-Riders: You can still support the Ride for the Living and join the celebration at the finish line at Ferndale Project. Register and select “Cheerleader” to make a donation to the Krackow JCC.
Ride-day highlights include:
A 30-mile roundtrip ride from Ferndale to the Detroit River, with curated stops along the way
Low-traffic streets, with security support at the front and back to ensure a safe, smooth experience
A rest stop with food and drinks to keep you energized
Full mechanical and SAG support
A post-ride gathering at Ferndale Project—food and a drink on us
New this Year: A Shorter Family-Friendly Ride
Now more than ever, showing up matters. This ride is a way to move together, stand strong in who we are and support Jewish life here and around the world. 100% of the entry fee supports the Krakow JCC, helping Jewish life continue to thrive.
