Richard Keidan is back from his most recent work and hiking expedition in Nepal. He will share insights from this trip with a focus on the Kopila Valley Orphanage and their super cool and fun bike program, of which many Team Alex members are sponsors.
We will also have the extreme privilege of hearing from the orphanage’s co- founder, Maggie Doyne and her husband Jeremy Power Regimbal who will join us via Zoom. Maggie was named a CNN Hero in 2015.[1] She is the author of Between the Mountain and the Sky: A Mother’s Story of Love, Loss, Healing, and Hope (2022) and subject of the documentary film of the same name which was written, directed and produced by Jeremy.
Richard needs no introduction but click here to meet Maggie and Jeremy.
If you want to view the documentary about the orphanage, you can find it here. A donation in the amount of your choice will be requested.
We will have a little shmooze time before the Richard gets going. Due to the time difference between Southfield and Kopila Valley, this event may run a little long in order to give Maggie and Jeremy the chance to join us after the sun comes up at their place. If you can stay, it will be worth it. If you have an early bedtime, no judgement.
Join us in person if you can. If not, Zoom on in: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87571055322?pwd=LdF6qq0y0qLi8WZCeVUN5JeubFnHov.1 Meeting ID: 875 7105 5322 Passcode: 522946
